COVENTRY GANGSTER CONVICTED OF STRANGLING WOMAN AND HIDING HER BODY UNDER A BED

Paul Cavin KC and William Goss today secured the conviction of Shannon Grant for the murder of Natasha Morais, following a four-week trial at Leicester Crown Court. Natasha Morais died on 22nd June 2023 having been strangled using cable ties. Burn injuries to her body also revealed a level of torture using heated metal tools. Her body was found hidden in the base of an Ottoman-style bed. The defendant will be sentenced on 21st March 2024.

Paul and William were instructed for the prosecution by the CPS Complex Casework Unit (East Midlands).
