CONVICTIONS SECURED IN OPERATION DAPHNIS

Sally Mertens, leading Amy Oliver/Joe Weeks, was instructed by the CPS Complex Casework Unit (East Mids) to prosecute a seven-handed conspiracy to steal and associated conspiracy to conceal/disguise/convert/transfer/remove criminal property, involving cars worth in excess of a million pounds. 

After a five-week trial, and six hours of deliberation, the jury returned unanimous guilty verdicts in relation to three defendants. Four defendants had entered pleas of guilty in March 2022.   Sentencing has been adjourned to a date to be fixed.
