TWO BURGLARS CONVICTED OF ROBBERY

Amy Oliver and Joe Weeks successfully prosecuted a trial at Southwark Crown Court in which two men, who had admitted involvement in a conspiracy to burgle residential properties all over Kent, were accused of robbing and attempting to rob members of the public in the course of the conspiracy. They were also accused of violently damaging a car with the driver still inside it.

Both defendants denied knowing that their group would turn to violence if interrupted. They were unanimously convicted by the jury of all offences with which they were charged.

The conspiracy involved six men who had been identified through cell site and forensic evidence. All will be sentenced shortly.

Amy and Joe were instructed by Peter Long of the Crown Prosecution Service, and the case was investigated by Kent Police.
