LENGTHY SENTENCES OF IMPRISONMENT FOR DRUG DEALERS FOLLOWING EARLY ADVICE, TRIAL & NEWTON HEARING

Sam Barker and William Goss have concluded Operation Homepart, a major Metropolitan Police operation targeting the ringleaders of a group of county lines dealing of crack cocaine and heroin from London to Crawley.

Sam provided early investigative advice to the specialist police unit investigating the gang whilst the operation was in its infancy, and then Sam and William together prosecuted the Defendants at a trial and Newton hearing, which concluded yesterday. The prosecution were able to deploy detailed analysis of telephone records obtained throughout the investigation to show that the gang was responsible for the supply multiple kilograms of Class A drugs. Because of the early advice, the Police secured evidence crucial to demonstrating the scale of the operation, and thus justify the imposition of sentences of 14 and 16 years (despite pleas of guilty) for the main two Defendants.

The gang of 6 received sentences totalling more than 55 years, and 5 different lucrative drugs lines were disrupted, which had dealt to well over a thousand crack cocaine and heroin addicts over almost 3 years.
