HEALTH AND CARE PROFESSIONS COUNCIL

HCPC v SK: At a fitness to practice final hearing before The Health and Care Professions Council Conduct and Competence Committee, Mahesh Karu was instructed to cross-examine a vulnerable complainant on behalf of the unrepresented registrant paramedic. The registrant was accused of a campaign of bullying and harassment over the course of 11 years, with 9 specific incidents alleged. The complaint was the sole live witness for the HCPC. Following cross-examination, the HCPC found that the witness was not credible and that each of the individual incidents were not well founded.
