FOUR DEFENDANTS SENTENCED TO A TOTAL OF 19 YEARS 11 MONTHS FOR A SERIES OF TARGETED BURGLARIES

Jenny Burgess successfully prosecuted the group of four who over a period of two months targeted a total of 10 homes in Essex and London, stealing over £300,000 cash and gold jewellery. The group used vehicles on cloned plates to avoid detection and regularly ransacked properties causing a high level of damage, on one occasion removing an entire safe and contents.

£175,000 of jewellery was subsequently sold to a Gold Shop in Hatton Garden. Further gold has been recovered from the shop whose owners are being sought by the Met Proactive Investigation Team.
