BURGLAR SENTENCED

Prosecuted by Jenny Burgess, the defendant was sentenced to 11 and a half years’ imprisonment for a spate of burglaries culminating in the tying up and violent assault on a third and final victim.

The defendant stole property from the homes of three young men each of whom he had befriended whilst on a night out and accompanied home. He had sexual intercourse with the first two victims following which he stole high-value clothing and electrical goods. The third victim was tied up, gagged and beaten by the defendant and a second man before his address was also burgled.
