ACQUITTAL SECURED

Following a 10-day trial, Jenny Burgess secured the acquittal of a defendant accused of possessing a firearm. The defendant - who was only 17 years old at the time - was arrested after armed police stopped the Uber in which he was travelling in North London.

His adult co-defendant was convicted of arranging for an unidentified third party to pass the firearm into the taxi. He awaits sentence.

Jenny's client admitted carrying a knife at the time of the police-stop and was given a 12-month conditional discharge for this offence.

Jenny was instructed by Mohsin Arif and William Giller of Lloyds PR.
