Sally has been a member of chambers for 22 years and has extensive experience in all areas of criminal law, both prosecuting and defending. Her thorough nature, organisational skills and determination always maximise the opportunities for success, whomever she is representing. Sally’s flexible practice now has an emphasis on advisory and support work in the fields of criminal and quasi-criminal law, white-collar crime plus extensive legal research and presentation thereof.
She is also well-known for having specialised in large-scale and/or complex cases involving Serious and Organised Crime (including firearms, armed robbery and multi-kilo drugs conspiracies), homicide, money-laundering and fraud. Her expertise extends to areas such as covert investigations, material obtained pursuant to the provisions of RIPA, complex disclosure and PII issues, the handling and presentation of expert evidence, substantial confiscation hearings and evidence from overseas. A number of her cases have involved security issues which called for jury protection, armed police, change of venue and/or witness anonymity.
Sally has particular interest in commercial and police risk management, security, surveillance, investigations, and business and cyber-crime. She also has good technology skills.
