FRAUD CONFERENCE
Two Harcourt Buildings sponsored the Fraud Conference 2025 which took place at Chartered Accountants’ Hall on Wednesday.
Members of chambers James Dawes KC, James Caldwell and Amy Oliver attended to engage in important discussions about fraud and counter-fraud initiatives with other professionals from many disciplines: lawyers, investigators, business consultants, insurers, accountants, policy makers and more.
Amy spoke on a panel concerning insider fraud and the impact of technology, dealing with topics such as risks in the modern corporate environment and what companies can do to detect and prevent fraud. Amy has prosecuted three cases involving “insider fraud”, where employees took advantage of company systems and the trust placed in them in order to enrich themselves or enable the laundering of criminal proceeds.
Members of 2HB have a wealth of specialist experience of litigating and advising in cases involving financial offending, and particular knowledge on the use of technology in economic crime.
Well done to all those involved in organising and speaking at the conference.
