CONVICTIONS SECURED

Following a 5-week trial at Leicester Crown Court, Kate Blumgart KC and Jenny Burgess secured the convictions of five people for their part in the killing of Junior Osborne last year. A boy aged 16 was found guilty of murder and four other teenagers were convicted of manslaughter. All were also convicted of possession of a bladed article.

CCTV footage showed the group of youths following Mr Osborne as he was cycling before stabbing him to death.

The defendants will be sentenced in June.

Kate and Jenny were instructed by the East Midlands Branch of the Crown Prosecution Service.
