CASE OPENED FOR THE PROSECUTION
Jennifer Knight KC, leading William Goss, has today opened the case for the prosecution at Maidstone Crown Court: a mother and her boyfriend are accused of murdering her 18-month-old son, Alfie Phillips, in a caravan in Kent during lockdown in 2020. Alfie died with a “myriad of bruises” and traces of cocaine in his body. The trial continues.
