Sam is a calm and confident junior barrister, who has quickly built a successful criminal practice since becoming a tenant at 2 Harcourt Buildings. He practises in the Crown Courts in London and on circuit in a wide range of criminal matters, both Prosecuting and Defending to a level beyond that expected at his call.
Sam is an effective and persuasive jury advocate. He combines an approachable manner with originality and flare. He has acted in cases of serious violence, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, firearms, drugs conspiracies, public disorder, immigration fraud, counterfeit currency and forgery. As a led junior he has experience of multiple expert 'Baby-Shaking' cases, PII, LPP and other disclosure challenges, telephone evidence and surveillance evidence.
He acts privately for Defendants in the magistrates’ court and regulatory tribunals, including in Sports and Disciplinary tribunals.
In particular, Sam prides himself on coupling sound legal advice, based in his outstanding knowledge of law and procedure, with his common sense and instinctive tactical awareness.
