Natalia is a dedicated and able advocate who is frequently commended for her sensitive approach to cases and clients. She prosecutes and defends in a wide range of criminal offences including affray, possession of drugs with intent to supply, sexual offences, fraud, violence and proceeds of crime matters.
She is Grade 1 CPS Advocate Panel member. As well as appearing at trial, for both the Crown and for the Defence, she has been instructed in matters such as appeals to the Crown Court against conviction, sentence and other ancillary matters. She accepts private instructions in all appropriate cases, including motoring offences and licensing law.
Natalia has represented vulnerable youths and adults with mental health issues and learning disabilities. She has experience of assisting professional and lay clients negotiate the trial process in such cases.
Natalia has in-depth knowledge in legal professional privilege and disclosure reviews. She has been instructed by the Attorney-General of Jersey in a large fraud case and has acted as independent LPP counsel.
Before joining chambers, Natalia worked at the Health and Care Professions Council and the Royal College of Nursing (RCN). During her time at the RCN she regularly appeared at the Nursing and Midwifery Council, defending nurses in all types of fitness-to-practise hearings. With both a professional and academic background in medical law and ethics, Natalia welcomes instructions in a wide range of regulatory proceedings in the healthcare field.
