John is an experienced criminal advocate who prosecutes and defends in a wide range of serious cases, both in London and on the Western Circuit. He is frequently instructed in complex fraud cases, including advance fee, mortgage and solicitor frauds, and also has experience of criminal confiscation matters. As a well known leading junior in high profile cases, he has also acted in matters involving multi-defendant manslaughter, serial armed robberies and sex offences. He has particular expertise in presenting and cross-examining on scientific expert evidence, including DNA, pathology and psychiatry.
