AFTAB JAFFERJEE — 14th February 2008

We are delighted to announce the recent appointment of Aftab Jafferjee to the position of Queen's Counsel. Aftab will continue to work as Senior Treasury Counsel based at the Central Criminal Court.

JEFFREY PEGDEN QC — 22nd November 2007

We wish to congratulate Jeffrey Pegden QC on his recent appointment as a Circuit Judge. Jeffrey now sits at Woolwich Crown Court, and he will be missed by all in Chambers.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Butler as our new Senior Clerk. Simon has over twenty years' experience in the Temple and he looks foward to leading our experienced and enthusiastic team of clerks and to maintaining an excellent standard of service to our clients.

SEMINARS — 13rd December 2006

Chambers offers CPD-accredited seminars to professional clients on key areas of criminal law, including the preparation and presentation of expert medical / pathological evidence in cases of infant non-accidental head injury; the bad character provisions of the Criminal Justice Act 2003; an introduction to the Court Martial system, practice and procedure; and an introduction to MTIC (Missing Trader Intra Community) fraud. Further seminars will be scheduled for 2008 - if you are interested in these or similarly topical criminal law subjects, please let us know.
